Retro style is again in trend and Sergio Corneliani made it as a mantra for his 2016/17 collection.
This collection reminds us of narrow and brown European streets, their antiquity and history. The collection includes vintage V-style neck sweaters, brown and grey coats, trousers and t-shirts with tones of colors chestnut, chocolate, and caramel.
For the most parts, the essential colors are camel, brown, tobacco, gunmetal, peacock green. The shapes and forms are light, the coats are slightly deconstructed, while retro details give faded and sharp finishings. The overcoats are cinched waist, the trenches are super light, and fur details add a sporty touch.
The designer has claimed that the collection emphasizes post-war fashion. We think he shot it with excellence.
